FAQ

*Fondant
Fondant is edible.  It's a sugar dough that tastes much like a flattened tootsie roll.  It gives the cake a smooth, flat texture and also helps in keeping the cake moist longer.  My fondant is made from marshmallows.

*Gumpaste
Gumpaste is also edible.  It's much like fondant but it dries hard and is typically used for decorations and not to cover an entire cake. 

*It's my goal to make each cake 100% edible but from time to time (on the more custom & detailed cakes) I will need to use other materials for structure purposes which many times are toothpicks or dowels.  I will always let you know when there is an inedible piece in your cake.

*I LOVE to entertain last minute requests for cakes, cupcakes or cake pops. 

*I will always be honest with you regarding my skill level and weather or not I can accomplish what you are asking me with excellence.  I never want a cake to be a dissappointment! 

*I do not offer WHITE cake as white cake is made without the egg yolk (to retain the white color) and because of that I find that the white cake is less "durable" and able to stand up to the decorations my cakes usually have.  YELLOW cake is a wonderful alternative!

*Your order will come in a white bakery box and can be brought into most restaurants.

*I accept CASH or CHECKS for payment.  Please make checks payable to:  Teresa Jonkman.
